Wow.  It’s been nearly a year since I became a beta tester for the awesomely cool digg.com and have since seen so many instances of the power of digg.  We’ve seen servers overload, bandwidth bills sky high, and the greatest… instantaneous fame.  Now the media is finally realizing the massive power of the internet’s newest trend, digg.  A few days ago a post was made about a NPR syndicate that was doing a segment on digg.com.  Immediately I went and signed up to be apart of the broadcast.  I received the formal invitation today as well as a ridiculous amount of my digg brethren.  The producer’s latest digg was that the response was so overwhelming that they want to start an entire series on digg… well at least more than one segment.  Now digg is one of the most popular tech news/social bookmarking sites on the web and the media is finally recognizing this awesome power.  This is just so freakin’ awesome.  I mean how cool is this?  Next well see them featured on CNN/FoxNews and then later the History Channel.  Wow… speculations, speculations.

Excerpts of gmails from one of the hosts:

I want to personally thank you for contacting us. We’d love to have you on
the show. Someone posted the fact that we are doing a show on Digg.com and
diggers and I guess we hit the front page. You wouldn’t believe how many
people are contacting us. This is truly amazing. I am actually going to sign
up myself and post a story tonight myself thanking everyone and letting more
people know about the show. Look for it.

I will be asked the following questions:

I am going to be asking about how you found Digg.com? What news
stories you saw that surprised you? Where do you think Digg.com is going?

And then later today:

My producer is signed up on Digg.com today and posted a story thanking everyone and letting more people know about the show. Look for it. It is titled “Diggers Flood Radio Show After Show On Digg.com Is Announced” and was posted at 5:30 pm. If you can go see the post and “Digg it” that would be very helpful. It looks like we convinced the radio station to do a show each week devoted to Diggers and if we can show the same response as last night we should get approved for the additional show day.

With quite efficiency and great design actually. It’s really fun and I encourage all of you to check it out…

Here’s my karma.

Comment with you karma if you get one…
